The Real Me Is Truth and Love

                                           Will All The Talk Finally Help The American People?
                
Ever the charismatic president, Obama walks into a joint session of congress last night, smiling, waving, hugging and laughing, time for the 2012 State of the Union Address.

Confession:  I found it amazing that in less that 5 minutes President Obama not only managed to praise the War efforts he originally opposed, but also to scold Congress for not being a team player just like the Army.



The Army made the "United States safer and more respected around the world."   Of course  "Osama Bin Laden is no longer a threat to this country" and the Taliban's momentum has finally been broken.  Killing begets killing Mr President, is America really any safer now than it was before?
He wishes that other segments of government could come together and work despite their differences, egos and ambitions, a call for teamwork; a call to be more like the army?

We can blame congress for being so ineffective Mr President, but the problem with the blame game is that you usually have to point the finger at yourself.  Every ship needs a good captain just ask Captain Francesco Schettino; every army a good general, and every country a good leader.  Either work together or fight each other in the government, that is always the choice.  Working together does not begin with speech, it begins with action.

On a last note here, It sounded great when you mentioned the post world war 2 economic boom, gives people hope that with hard work and sacrifice America will be the dream it once was, but those were different times and a different president.  Perhaps Americans were different even,  I can't say for sure.  But what I can say is that hoping that America will boom again like it did after World War 2 is indeed hoping that the wish you made in the beginning of the fairytale will come through for you before "the end"


Perhaps he doesn't realize that post World War 2 economy  is different from the post Iraq war economy.  I mean do you feel like America is in the throws of a  Military Industrial Complex?   Do you predict a boom in housing anytime soon?  Can more Americans go from producing goods to providing services?  Or is that one of the major problems in America right now?  You know outsourcing for cheap labor like corporate America has been doing for decades, how many blue collar jobs are truly available in the American workforce?
