If you work as any type of artist, you probably come in contact with your soul on a daily basis, it is that part of you that can express itself, you see your soul manifest in your work: a painting, a sculpture, a song,a dance or even your words.  You would rather starve than see it wither away, it keeps you happy, it keeps you going.

A 9-5 worker may have to work a little harder to communicate with their soul, especially if they are in jobs ...

                                                                         
Would the practice of Polygamy make dating any easier? In light of the fact that homosexuals can now marry it would seem appropriate for the polygamist to gain full legal rights. They should respect a person's right to marry more than one person in the same way they respect their right to marry the same sex.

It was scary to wake up one day and realize that most of my beliefs were only true because I gave them sanction. I mean, what If I am wrong? What if my teachers are wrong?  They are only human, prone to mistakes just like any normal person.

The ancients believed in a heaven with many Gods, they believed the earth was flat for over a century.hat makes the teachers of my time any different?  What do we believe in now that our future generations will laugh at as ancient and primitive?

Gossip has become such a way of life among human beings,  that even the very people who are guilty of  gossip mongering do not even know it.  They do not understand the full depth of the spoken word, how powerful a spell they can cast over the minds of those who are most susceptible.  Others use gossip for the purpose of spreading their own misery to the lives of other people, they gossip to make themselves feel better, they gossip about you because you gossiped about them.

For some, forgiveness may come easily but for most of us it can be the one thing that holds you back from  your personal growth.  Forgiving should be easy but most of us have been taught to seek revenge on those who have wronged us, an eye for an eye, taken to the next level.  Perhaps if we could understand the flaws in our humanity, then we would know that mistakes are inherent to our nature, then forgiveness could follow the wronged as easily as vengeful thoughts do.

The person who has wronged you in the past can never change the fact of the actions taken, they cannot take back the hurtful words spoken, they cannot erase the pain you felt in the moment.  If the person seeks you out for forgiveness then you should feel comfort in that, most people don't know they have committed wrong against you, most people can't even admit to themselves that they are wrong.

Even if you never get a word of apology, still forgive, still forget them for the sake of your own life.  Don't get stuck with the pain of the past, live in the moment.  We were not put on this earth to live in misery and suffering, we are here to enjoy the bounty that is life.  We can't change the bad things that happen to us along the way, we can only keep on living in love and happiness in spite of it.

It is hard to feel peace in your soul when you have not yet learned the wisdom of filtering  out the negative aspects of your life.   Thoughts in your head are only there because you have allowed them to capture your attention.  Be vigilant in keeping positive uplifting thoughts and you will achieve happiness. This world is not a gentle and cuddly place for most of its inhabitants.

Human beings have collectively decided to trap their minds in a grotesque version of their own reality and we have used the pursuit of knowledge to create a world in which love is underrated.  When Adam and Eve ate the apple from the tree of knowledge they gained self awareness and hid their nakedness.  The parts of this story I pay attention to is this, If they hid their nakedness then It is likely that they gained the ability to receive judgement and  also  to give it, the two usually go hand in hand.   Them hiding nakedness also implies that they judged their nakedness harshly, you only hide the things that you are ashamed of.

 Any story in which we use our knowledge to judge ourselves or other people is one filled with pain and tragedy.  Our children's lives are filled with pure joy and happiness before we mess them up with our haunting stories of the boogie man.  When we are angry we teach them how to process that emotion by the actions we take.  When we gossip and judge others we teach them how to judge themselves and we introduce negativity in their little hearts and minds.  When they go out into the world they spread the same messages of hate and discord that you have bred in them.  As the cycle continues the world sinks further into the deep murky waters; humanity continues to drown in any situation where there is an absence of expressions of love .

There is no place on earth that is safe from pain and suffering, September 11, 2011 should be used as a day for the people of the globe to put the world in perspective.  No argument is one sided, every people should have a voice, every fight does not have to be fought.   As they look out for would be terrorist plots and threats to national security I hope someone up high is contemplating "How did we come to this?" and "How can we make this world safe for every soul who lives in it?"

I woke up one day and thought "Girl you must be Ugly." That reasoning came to me when I looked in the mirror and saw all the disguises I wore just so you couldn't get a glimpse of the real me with all my imperfections.   I believed make up looked superior to my own skin because I thought it brought me closer to perfection.  I thought a permed head was better than my own kinky Afro but then I permed my hair and that was no longer good enough, now I had to get a long weave.  

With a weave I could attain any look, mimic any nationality but that of my own African roots. If I didn't have the right lengths and looks, then how could I compete with the phantom women who appear on the t.v. shows I watch and in the magazines I read?  Why did I even have to compare myself to them even as I knew they were just the airbrushed plastic made up versions of their true selves anyway?  I know I had a deep lack of self confidence even as people around me saw my outward projection of poise and strength.
   
Gentlemen prefer video girls?  I guess that was the assumption that I was under at the moment, caught up deep in the values of the world around me even while thinking I was smart enough to escape it I was already in that ugly monster's web.  I always thought that I had to achieve perfect looks, I just never thought that my own natural looks were perfect. When I packaged myself enticingly I received a lot of attention, but guys kept looking at rather than listening to me and connecting with who I was inside.  Sometimes it is hard for people to look past your own self projection, just the way you don't realize that the self you portray is not always who you really are.
 


 I love to express myself with hair and makeup so I don't condemn the practices at all.  Putting a look together for yourself is an act of creation n itself, a way to control a small part of your world.  The problem came when I realized that the sexy look was the only one I chose.  Part of my personal freedom s now deeply tied to my ability to walk outside without a weave or a perm or makeup and not feel self conscious.

If you signed this contract then you are either on the hunt or being hunted yourself, or maybe you are both simultaneously.  As per terms of said contract one must be the supplier and one must be the financier, sex sold out in the open plain for all to perceive.
    You are at play when you are at the club dressed in your best looking for the biggest catch you can find for you are needy and will always seek to bite more than you can swallow.  You spend countless hours and countless dollars in the name of beauty, anything to keep the rust of the ages from settling over your skin, you would give anything to reverse the time back to your youthful days when you were glorious.
    Every event is an opportunity to single out and trap your next conquest so you go fully prepared with all you tips and tricks.  You pull out your bill stacks, you pop the most bottles, your shine is brighter than the disco lights, your trap is set now all you have to do is wait for the big fat fish you so desire.
   The hunter meets the hunted and the games begin for one must overpower the other.  The fight goes back and forth, there are many battles to face for neither will give up until the other is vanquished.  And Just when you think you got her from behind, she catches you from her front with a belly.
