Easter...A New Beginning

Easter as usual is the time we all think of fluffy bunny's, Easter egg hunts, and new outfits to "show off" in church. Well I say lets skip all the hypocrisy and continue life in the same manner you conducted yourself on the other 364 days of the year. One day of the year, (or twice if you count New Years Eve) will not save you from eternal damnation. Your soul is just as likely to rot; whether you go or not; on just that ONE day.
Jesus is an example to us all when it comes to forbearance and fulfilling your purpose. If Jesus, the Son of God can be tortured and crucified for his beliefs, then what would make me think I am exempt from a hard life? What did Jesus do to deserve such punishment? Jesus was brought on this earth as an innocent baby just like you and I.
Jesus went through a cycle of birth, growth, death and resurrection. Look closely at his journey and see that we all have a similar cycle within ourselves. Every day, is a chance to give birth to a new self; give this new self good nurturing and it will grow. If you want to learn how to read for example, then start with your ABCs and don't stop until you can read a novel.
Don't be afraid of death, it comes to us all in due time. If we can learn to harness death as a weapon within ourselves we can use it to "Kill Off" the negative aspects of that self. There is plenty of bad habits, negative thoughts and emotions that we could all stand to cut out of our lives. We know the way we act is no good for us and yet we refuse to change, we refuse to let go, we refuse to let it die.
If you are afraid to die then you cannot be resurrected. If you refuse to let go of your old negative ways then how can you find room for bigger and better? Jesus was resurrected and is back to his place "seated on the most high" If we want to move on and move up perhaps we only have to follow Jesus' cycle of birth, growth, death and resurrection within ourselves. If your self now isn't working then pull the plug, turn off the ventilator its time to get a fresh start over.
PS since we are only human, we will not get the cycle right the first time, just keep trying, practice becomes perfect
